Early game you are very weak, as you progress through levels and are able to combo things more cleanly the dynamic shifts. Nightmare mode makes direct combat much more difficult, as it should.Thanks! Awesome game so far! Been trying to scavenge as much as I can and do all the side quests. My best weapons so far (for me) have been piped and cricket bats. I’m trying to determine if each weapons has a niche, or certain weapons should be avoided. They attack very quickly but seem to do little damage and require I get very up close and personal. It seems the only certain way to land hits, is to grapple them away from me and then land hits.ĭo certain weapons kinda suck? My best weapons I’ve found so far in terms of rarity have been knives. Sometimes I land a hit on their head and they’re interrupted, whereas other times, even right after getting hit in the head, they’ll still latch onto me. What’s the deal with combat? Zombies feel very unpredictable.
Is it ok to use your flashlight at night or does that attract zombies? I see I have a UV light as well… should I use that at night as much as I can? It’s very difficult to parkour without visibility. So far, I’ve done a decent job parkouring away from them. It seems like there are SO many of the tough zombies and they seem impossible to avoid. I obviously kill when I need to, clearing safe zones etc. In general, should combat be avoided? It seems like there’s a minimum of 5 headhits before even basic zombies (btw I love that this game ACTUALLY calls zombies, zombies) go down, and my weapons break as fast as they did in Botw lol. So far nightmare has felt perfect and has been a decent challenge and I’ve died a fair bit. I enjoy a difficult experience, especially with this type of game. Really surprised by how well the graphics have held up and well the game runs. Hey all, finally playin this great game in preparation for Dying Light 2, which coincidentally comes out on my bday!
